Bio

I grew up as the child of two glass artists, deep in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.
It was and is a good place for art. The colors of the leaves in the fall alone are enough to move the hardest heart to desire a paintbrush.
For a little girl who was sure fairies were waiting just behind every tree stump, it was the most perfect place to grow the imagination every artist needs.
It’s no wonder that I came out a little different when formed in such a mold.

It was a charmed childhood. I learned to wiggle my way through berry patches without scratches and discovered a knack for finding four leaf clovers.
The fairytale continued when I met my prince charming, a boy with a head for numbers and a heart for the art of photography.
This is me.

As for me, I didn’t fall far from the family tree. I’m not a glassblower, but I still love working with glass, especially in flame-working or casting.

I love to make things that people can hold, and functional objects people can use in their lives.
As well as being a maker, I love teaching art. If my little art can add a bit of magic to the world, imagine if we were all makers! I am very passionate about showing people that art is not impossible, and that they really do have the ability to create.
